Iyanya is spilling the tea regarding his breakup with Ubi Franklin and record label Made Men Music Group, and we can’t wait for more of it!
The “Kukere” master aired his opinions on The Juice, where he narrated to the TV show host Bolanle Olukanni why he split with his supposed label mate Ubi Franklin, ended his affiliation with MMMG and decided to join Donjazzy‘s Mavin Records.
Iyanya themed that phase of his career as “there was a darkness.” And when asked why he stated so regarding his split, the “Mr Oreo” hit maker, reluctant to respond to why he separated from Ubi and MMMG, he then replied, “When I say there was darkness, I was not myself anymore because I felt like there was not trust anymore.”
Iyanya continued, “Because at the time I was thinking I co-owned Made Men [Music Group] with Ubi, but I literally realized that my name was not in any of the forms that I signed! I was broken! That was the beginning of me just saying to hell with everything.”
