Adekunle Gold has surprised his fans with the release of his new album titled “About 30,” consisting of 14 tracks and 2 bonus tracks inclusive!
The album has previously release singles like “Ire,” “Money,” and a lot more. Artists such as Flavour, Seun Kuti and the Lagos Community Gospel Choir were featured in the new album. And why we are all happy about this collection of songs, we are as well shocked that Simi wasn’t featured in any of the tracks inside.
“Adekunle Gold is growing into a bigger brand, so some decisions had to be made regardless of his emotions for Simi,” a source, who has had dealings with the “Sade” hit makers former record label YBNL, told we SOS, adding, “Just know that she was not needed in his plan for that album because just like some football managers aren’t going to use all good players for every match because their relevance won’t make much of a difference, so did his team chose not to use her for this album.”
Did this source just say, “because their relevance won’t make much of a difference” in his statement? What? Is it that they didn’t see Simi relevant in the album or what? Hmm! We guess business is business.
